Healthcare Messaging Analyst

Job Description:

• This job can be based in our Scottsdale or Tucson office.
• • Responsible for ensuring end-to-end message transport and processing is achieved.
• • Communicate with vendors regarding individual electronic systems.
• • Research systems that use different operating systems, different medical software, different transfer protocols, etc. will be commonplace.
• • Troubleshoot and research issues that may arise in an electronic system's encoding of HL7 messages.
• • Configure account profiles on two different immunization management systems, and to observe relational database tables in order to ensure that messages have reached the IMSs and that data is being persisted, is also required.

Education Requirements:

• • BS degree in a computer science, computer information systems, or similar field is required.

Experience Requirements:

• • BS degree in a computer science, computer information systems, or similar field is required.
• • Familiar with HL7 messaging or experience working with detailed technical message specifications.
• • Ability to communicate effectively with external healthcare providers and software vendors, including speaking in front of a group
• • Understanding and comfortable with relational databases desirable. Ability to write SQL queries a plus.
• • Must be capable of tracing the flow of data from system to system during data exchange.
• • Ability to understand HTTP asynchronous requests and responses.
• • Understand and be able to work with XML preferred.
• • Knowledge of SOAP services preferred.
• • Experience with SSL certificates preferred.
• • Experience with Java key stores and encryption preferred.
• • Experience and knowledge with Unix and Windows OS preferred.

• This position is responsible for interfacing with software vendors and medical providers on behalf of a state health department to ensure that Health Level Seven (HL7) messages are successfully being sent from providers' offices and arriving at the state health departments' immunization management systems (IMSs).
