Informatica Data Specialist

Job Description:

• Candidate must have experience with the newest Informatica Tools - DX and DT (B2B
• Informatica Data Exchange and B2B Informatica Data Transformations) and have experience converting unstructured data into an XML format.
• This opportunity is the front end of a large scale multi-year Informatica implementation. The candidate must be experienced (preferably the key individual) in creating an underlying platform that precedes significant legacy and prospective conversion.

Education Requirements:

• The candidate must have significant experience with the Informatica Data Transformation module (DT) along with (DX). The candidate should know how to create new message patterns in DT/DX in addition to using pre-delivered message patterns. Custom DT message patterns will be heavily conditional upon metadata and content. The candidate should have substantial knowledge of very complex batch control whether in Informatica or in other environments.
• This is NOT a BI or DW implementation. Candidates who have used Informatica on documents and content will be preferred.
• The candidate must have a pleasant demeanor, be a team player, be capable of high levels of abstraction / architecture, and be willing to role up their sleeves and do very detailed work.

Experience Requirements:

• Specific deliverable modules in the new platform may or may not include the following but are not limited to:
• - a module to manage exits and re-entry in the workflow for manual processes
• - exception handling, reporting and routing (not code error exceptions, but rather content exceptions)
• - inventory management * what*s scheduled, arrived, didn*t, etc.
• - versioning
• - metrics and process reporting / business monitoring
• - bursting/batching
• - document decomposition / recomposition
• - cleanup
• - quality control
• - metadata repositories
• - archiving
• - templates for process/transformation types
• - mapping to target XML schemas
• - experience with Data Profiler and Metadata
• The candidate should also have experience with managing offshore teams including writing specifications, reviewing test cases, reviewing transformations, and verifying results.
